I believe Danny (Gordon) gave you comprehensive advice over at ReRo re post rendering to bring out the colours and definition of your renders. So I won't say anything on that here. However I do notice that your render does have that "edge-of-the-world" problem that you can get with T 0.9xx if you position your camera too high over a small terrain size of say 513x513. I have reproduced the problem below to illustrate this with a camera too high render (camera over 1,000 metres above the terrain), and a render with the camera lowered to just a few metres above the terrain. Of course you won't get this problem with T2 as it generates a spherical planet. I've also repositioned the camera slightly to the left and reduced the pitch of the camera on the second shot to bring more of the terrain into the scene.
Post render I simply clicked Auto Levels in Photoshop to enhance the definition of the renders.
