So I thought to install the latest Wacom Intuos 3 driver. Works well on win 7 (this online version), but I have an XP version on another partition (offline), that doesn't start up anymore after installing the update. Blue screen repetitively, VGA mode starts up for 1 second then dies, safe mode won't even start up. So I'm in deep shit.
What I did now is from this partition/version/win7 go to the Wacom folder in the XP partition, found a file 'remove.exe', hit it, and it said 'removed', please reboot. So I am very curious whether it removed the XP version, or the win 7 version from which I hit the file, as I don't know where the remove.exe will work. I can't access it from 'the other side. I hope you understand this. About to try to restart, but I thought I'd ask for any advice while I'm here.

Too late for any advice; the method described worked. Got my OS back, pffff. I wouldn't know have to handle this without a second OS on the one machine, though.
