I would try registrations@planetside.co.uk for help with the correct setup of license keys.

Happy you decided to purchase your illegal warez for a program that has most its features available for free.

put your purchased tg key inside the terragen 2 folder in program files/planetside/(version installed)/, overwritting whatever is there currently.

also, go to C:\Documents and Settings\**Username**\Application Data\Planetside Software\Terragen 2
(replace username with your username of your account)

and delete the key file there.

Note: vista probably is C:\Users\Username\etcetc, not on my vista machine so I can't check its full path.

also usually the App Data folder is hidden, so you must either have hidden folders shown, or type it in yourself.

when you run terragen again, it should pull the real key file and tell you it backed it up, and now it should display your name from your license.

I'd recommend contacting the people who sent you the real license, since they will know how to help you best.

Hi thegdl,

Neuspadrin's instructions should work.

thank you very much , it actually worked, I used the Warez version just to learn it  and I'm still learning but I need it for some projects now and that's why I decided to buy it. the only problem is the lack of tutorials, they are very basic and none of them show nice pro tips, :(

neuspadrin

why do you need a warez version to learn? when theres a perfectly good free barely limited version.   Only limit i ever hit was objects, and wished i could render higher res.  So I bought ;).

But plenty of stuff to learn with in the free version.

As for lack of tutorials, take a look around this very site.  Many tips and tricks are all over here, just gotta search.  Not many sites have tutorials up yet as its not a huge program, and tg2 is still just about to technically release.  It's had many changes in the past year or so, such that some things are different with the added features.  Next version out (the release hopefully that will be this month as they have set that as the goal), they have stated the user guide will be out, and you will probably start to see more tutorials come out.

But really, most tutorials and tricks are around here, kinda hidden.  Many times looking at the image gallery people simply ask how it was done, and the user who posted it will usually give a quick list of important things they did to make the scene as it was.

Start here - http://forums.planetside.co.uk/index.php?board=2.0 and then do searches to your heart's content.  Most questions have been asked.  A friendly bunch, nevertheless.

It's rat-patootee to say someone needs to steal to learn a program, when the demo is so flexible.
