A similar world to Leonis Prime Just played around with the mountain displacments
trees are my own
ships are from skynet couldnt be bothered modeling my own atm

57min render time  ;D

planets and postwork done in photomatix photoshop then finished off in lightroom
(5 exposure levels)

57 m seems very quick - are you putting all your main displacements in, and then generating a heightfield to re-use for quicker rendering, or do you just have a monster rig?  :)

I do like the displacements on the mountain, and you always seem to get very dramatic displacements. Do you have a particular set of shaders/heightfield operators you always use?

I use a geocontrol export
and add a simple power fractal and a twist and shear shader thats all!
I use a simple sharpen filter in photoshop just to bring out some of the hidden details aswell
