Any thoughts on how to create a nice, ominous sandstorm approaching from off in the distance? So far I have tried to create some low level cumulus clouds, change the color and use a distance shader to push them off, but without success. Hopefully someone here is more qualified to tackle this than I. Heres a nice image of what I'm going for.

This is a really good attempt. Personally I would be quite pleased with this. I also like the depot objects very much.

In this thread http://forums.planetside.co.uk/index.php?topic=7500.0 old_blaggard achieved quite a convincing sandstorm, so you could ask him.

Here's a quick and dirty attempt for you to play around with.
Adjusting the cloud pattern to suit and the colour/lighting etc. should give you what you want.
This clip is at very low res with low cloud samples.

It's a photo. Not a render.
They just issued a tornado warning and said to stay away from windows. Does that mean I can't use my computer?
