okay nothing ground breaking here, but I was quite impressed with my effort, the clouds do need a bit of work do make then swirly whirly (which I've no idea how to do), oh and sorry about the image name it was the first thing that came to mind lol, C&C please.

You might want to try adding some land to that. The lighting is quite nice.
Heard of computer graphics? CG? Terragen 2, the landscape generating program, also known as TG, a whole cool way to create realistic CG - with TG.

nice work! you can add stars via the Default Shader so that you can play with the positioning of your planet and you might also want to use Planet Surface Shader for the Land and Water areas  ;)

Nice picture! But the sun doesn't seem bright enough; I mean, it seems like the sun doesn't have nearly enough light coming out of it and looks like a white disk.
