saw my first circumzenithal arc today, I had my own little 'double rainbow' moment!
tried to snap it with my camera phone will post if they are any good...

yeah, kind of like an upsidedown rainbow...it was really vibrant for some time, then faded but was still visible for 20 minutes or so...had to google it to see what it was! An astonishingly beautiful phenomina!

Just seen one over Glastonbury uk, took some pics, will post in a bit :)

They were easy to see with Polarizing sun glasses but quite hard to capture on my little camera.
At one point there were two clearly visable arcs above the sun, one curving about the sun and the furher away one curving away from the sun.

I'm from south London originally, went to a small relatively unknown festival in Glastonbury in 86 and never really went back ;)

yeah things really changed in the festy scene a lot after stonehenge 84 and the infamous battle of the beanfield in 85, last time I was at glasto was 90..very vague memories!!!
