I didn't even notice that. It's still right there in the File menu or playlist contextual menu. Rather than trying to promote "buy" it could just be a reflection of changing times. I actually buy most of my music on CDs still, I'm a bit of a collector and like having the CD and album artwork. CDs aren't usually much more expensive than the iTunes store anyway, for the kind of stuff I buy. I do buy some individual songs on iTunes. However I can't remember the last time I burnt a CD from iTunes. It must be at least a couple of years. The only reason I can think of for doing that would be to burn a CD to use in the car, but because I buy CDs I have those anyway (though I realise I'm probably in the minority). I need to get a car kit for my iPod... I suspect Apple have just decided that people aren't burning a lot of CDs and wanted to streamline the interface.
