An imaginary getaway somewhere in the Ozarks. Elements used are:

•   Log Cabin from RDNA ...not sure.
•   Grass population  from Walli's Plant pack available at Planetside. Re-colored using different color/textures.
•   Red Oak/no leaves population by jcinbama/Mr_Miley  available at Ashundar.
•   The Noble One; two populations by Walli available at Planetside. One population was re-colored using a leaf cluster by Dotthy.
•   Mouse-eared Chickweed by Walli available at NWDA.
•   Terrain: Bright Angel Point DEM .ter which was height adjusted. 'Make a River' operator was used here.

Oooops, forgot to mention - the Cirrus/Altocumulus clouds are from dandelO's file.

Enjoy,

Bob

wow it look's real!  :o

Excellent work, Bob. Especially the fake stones (are they from a preset?). If you allow a wee bit more dry land in front of those steps, I won't bother packing my wellies when I drop by.  :)

I hope I realise I don't exist before I apparently die.

Hi John, thanks for visiting and glad you like it. The water level has risen - bring your boots. The fake stones are only one variety; not from a pack.

Dune

May I? I would smooth out the water, get rid of the tiny wavelets, and darken the grass, or bring in some more variety in species (finer grass perhaps, this is quite rough). Perhaps also get some sparse vegetation (bushes) higher up the hills, so that it's not just a band of trees around the water (unless that's how it's like there). Perhaps also make a muddy zone along the coast. John will clean up his boots after he's high and dry by the fire in your cabin  ;)

I wouldn't dream of interfering with my valet's duties.  ;D

Great ideas Dune - thank you; and I thought I was done with this. Yes, the water's roughness seems to create an issue of graininess. And, your suggestions of grass variance should improve the image. A few bushes would help; but, I'm not so sure that they would show up too well in the distance, especially on the far right.

Some great work there Bob. I agree with Dune on the water, getting an almost mirror look will really amplify this I think.

I was playing around with Walli's dry grass pack the other day, and I've made a variation tile'able texture that might work really well here. It's at work atm, but I'll happily upload a TGC for you to have a play with. What's quite good about it, is that the built in TG grass population does most of the work, and then you use Walli's models to break that up a little further. I like your customization on his texture to make them a more 'dry tan' colour.

Your autumn trees I wouldn't touch. They look great. And the landscape is interesting enough to not have too much happening on it (although that maybe ecologically a little wrong, who knows and cares, it's your scene).

I maybe tempted to put some dirty reflectiveness on those windows though, which is little challenge in it's self. And the chimney texture might need something to break up that 'screen mapping' look, maybe another stone map.

Thank you Hetzen for these ideas and suggestions. I've heard enough here in this thread to peak my enthusiasm and rework this image. I'd be interested in seeing your grass texture.

No problem, I'll dig it out tomorrow.

Best
