Heya guys,
I need to align in imported object so that it is perpendicular to the planet...
Im hoping this is somehow possible!?

What would be great (as a feature request) would be a way to "copy normal rotation"
Kind of like the right click -> copy slope Angle... but instead it would copy the rotation values in universe space.

Hey guys,
apologies for bumping this one-
dont get me wrong, I understand there is not a way to align object populations to a slope... (unfortunately)

All I need is to somehow ascertain world space rotation values for a given normal on the planet sphere.
i cant get my head around a way to work this out...

Perhaps I am not explaining myself properly, or should this topic be posted in a different subforum? (Terragen 2 Support perhaps?)

To better articulate my issue, see the below image, I just need my object to be perpendicular to the planet like this:

Any support with this would be greatly appreciated :)

If its just the one object the best bet would be to move the model in your modelling package to its correct position.

Making a satellit, or just a sphere covered with antennas ?

Thanks that's a workable solution! albeit a bit of a hassle! Thanks!

...No that planetannae example was unrelated to my project.
I am attempting a bit of a SciFi scene with "space bridges" and huge ports connected to the planet  :D
