I call this "D-Orbit" because this is my 4th go at planetary renders, the first 3 couldnt make it (sorry  :))

This isnt exactly what you would see from earth's orbit, but a good try (I think)

Here is the Hi-res version (1920 x 1080)

Very nice image!!!  Could you share your cloud settings?  They're incredibly realistic!

hey OB, I am sorry if my next words are gonna disappoint you!

I used image maps on both planets  :-[

they look realistic because they are REAL!!

Hehe. Nice composition. Apparently the Earth looks much more blue from space because of the thick atmosphere. Perhaps you could add an atmosphere to your Earth...

dhavalmistry

Adding an atmosphere will only make it worse.....my guess would be to increase the gamma of the image map

You can see the atmosphere of the Earth, around the edge of the Earth, from space. However, I can see no atmosphere around the edge of the Earth in that image. You will either need to add an atmosphere in T2TP, or post-process one in using another program.

Did you use a combined earth/cloud texture? In my image I used seperate images and it does show the atmosphere. The moon does look a bit weird. I think the dark spot is a bit too dark.

Very cool. It's like you can reach out and touch the moon.  Increasing the values in your atmosphere height could help reveal the planet's atmosphere.
So this is Disney World.  Can we live here?

I think I've used the wrong image map for the moon (most likely bump map)

These are the maps I used for the planets (around 50 MB)

Yeah... I'm working on modelling the Earth with a bump map but doing all of the texturing in TG.
