Very cool looking render. The flyer looks very much like a Alan Hastings model which used to come with Lightwave 3.5.

Your elevated point of view gives one a good sense of scale - ships/terrain. The heavy decay in the atmosphere compliments the terrain nicely ...good one John.

Uh-huh; motion blur is a device I did consider to indicate speed/action. Certainly "could have", but not necessarily "should have" (shutter speed dependant). And, in the end, "didn't", as I wanted clarity of detail of jets more than I wanted depiction of speed.
