Lupines appear in the spring in many parts of the world. I hope Walli is looking, these would make a great flower model. The photo was the work of 'Chip Phillips' ...many thanks to him.

Didn't I see someone posting an image with this flower(or very similar) quite recently here, was it Terrade? In a nice train track render?

* Yes, here; http://forums.planetside.co.uk/index.php?topic=11704.0
Maybe not as detailed for a closeup as you'd like from the reference shot, maybe not even the same flower. I dunno, no botanist, me. I do see loads of shared plants from Terrade at Ashundar, though, is it there, Bob?

Those flowers appear as 'Astilbe' which has different leaves than the Lupine. Lupines are usually blue, white or a purple/red.

Walli

put on the list - its a very nice flower, but takes a while until blooming - not sure if i have good photos for textures already

Ah, I hate lupins ;-). We get them alongside the roads here. When I lived up in the mountains they would bloom beside the road in the high country. People would gush over them. Apart from generally disliking the colours, they look so out of place. They're introduced here. Not such an issue down on the plains where you hardly see a native plant anyway.

That's just me though :-).

Lupines and shrubbery always make me chuckle when I hear the names as they to me hark back to Monty Python[the real script] sketches.. ...

the flower I did was a willowherb, the rosebay usually have a fluffy head where the flower turns to seed, on my plant i have not included to cut down the MBs. Ill have to give lupine a go, looks a bit hard, sure i could pull it off
