Have you ever realized...

... that the part of a crop render that you are most interested in is always the last render bucket that finishes?

It's unbelievable  :(

Tangled-Universe

Experiencing it now too....sigh :)

i warned you people in the past, the program is getting smarter, it reads your minds....... :D

yes, i get too, and with regular renders...

i'm waiting for fake stones to get done also.

Ha! At least you guys have fast computers. Try waiting an hour for a 400 x 240 render to finish.

Just kidding! It is inconvenient. But that's how things work. I could benefit using crop renders, but they take sooooo long. I do large image tests while I am at work.

It is odd. Doesn't seem to matter left or right.

:D I hear that!

I remember the days of 1 thread TG rendering! Such things weren't a problem then. Let's go back to that! ;)

So this is Disney World.  Can we live here?

Heck yes!!  That is just the way the world works.  Saying that is similar to losing something and then,  "Did you know?  I found it in the last place I looked!?"

True.

I don't remember clearly, but either Bryce or Vue had the feature that you could sort of paint on the area you wished the application to render. And while painting strokes, it started rendering and immediately displaying detail that got finer as you continued to paint. Does anyone remember that? It was a little bit like the TG2 3D preview cropped, but with final detail.  This could be a solution to the problem in some cases.

I remember that feature in Bryce it was called "Paint Render" vary handy for cheeking details that would other wise take along time to do a full render on for just the sake of doing a test render!

Regards to you.

Fast computer? I probably have the slowest computer on this forum. I've never tried crop renders because I've never really found it necessary. So I've never touched that section of Terragen 2  ;)  :-\
Heard of computer graphics? CG? Terragen 2, the landscape generating program, also known as TG, a whole cool way to create realistic CG - with TG.

You can move the crop region where you like it also. It helps get the placement right if the preview updates to 80%.
