Comparative reference image "Big Sky"
« on: March 28, 2007, 05:33:53 AM »
Hey folks!  So, I'm tootin' around looking for environment maps to use for an assignment I have, and I stumble upon this image from the LumiVista bed and breakfast in Montana which reminds me of some of the experiments I've seen here with object populations.

I think this image bears a strong resemblance to many of the ideas people are exploring currently, and it looked like a great reference shot to have around, particularly when it comes to tree shading and lighting.

WARNING!  REAL REFERENCE PHOTO FROM THE LUMIVISTA BED & BREAKFAST, OF WHOM I KNOW NOTHING!

(It's a hefty image, so I'm merely linking it, worth a peek though!)

DISCLAIMER: I have absolutely nothing to do with these people outside of a casual Google environment map search, although they seem to take cozy photos.
