I've been dabbling with planets again.  http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/51980755/  Everything was created and rendered in TG2TP, except for the two models (SS3 at DAZ and Binary Shuttlecraft at Renderosity - these were not modeled by me, but were rendered inside of TG2TP).

Next - surface level work.

Comments are welcome.
So this is Disney World.  Can we live here?

One of your better images in my opinion.  You've got a good sense of scale and I also like your planet's colors and cloud formations.  Good job :).

The world is round... so you have to use spherical projection.

impressive piece of work, very nice  :)
perfection is not when there's nothing more to add, it's reached when nothing more can be left out

Love that. Fantastic use of colours, very impressive.

Wow.  This feels good.  Thanks!    ;D

Wait...I just realized old_blaggard said clouds...oh no.  I don't have any clouds.  These are mountains.  I'm running into trouble since my monitor went on the fritz.  I'm using an old Viewsonic that is blurry and foggy as well.  No excuse, but a reason for a possible mistake, I guess.

Do the mountains really look that indistinguishable?

No, your mountains were fine.  It was probably a combination of the warpiness of the luminous surface and my early morning (for spring break ;)) bleary eyes :P.

That's quite exciting!  I've always wanted to get to Russia, but I haven't ever quite made it East enough ;).
