Thanks, guys. Here's another version, where I tried to use a blue node whirl function I got from this forum (don't know whose it is) for the cloud above the twister. The problem with that whirl is that it's too sharp edged. I'd be better of with a simple mask, I suppose.

Excellent smoke. This would work for underwater 'smokers' very well also.

It's not a twister anymore, but who cares. I'm now diving into HDR,a s this is a bit washed out in the sky. I saved as EXR and will do some PS work later.
