Masked Rivers and lakes
« on: April 10, 2007, 08:57:08 AM »
This ZIP file contains a more advanced version of my river/lakebed masking (http://forums.planetside.co.uk/index.php?topic=1164.0). Using a single water surface for everything is OK if your masks are accurate and the terrain is flat where your lake surfaces should be. if this is not the case, then it may be better to add "real" TG lakes, and just use the simplified surface for the rivers.

The main tweaks to the width of the bank are done via the colour adjust shaders on the various masks. The demo render also has an image overlay of the colour extracted from a false colour LANDSAT image. This isn't included in the ZIP to meet file size restrictions.

ZIP file contains 1 TER, two greyscale image maps (rivers and lakes), and 1 TGD

Enjoy
