An interactive panorama made from my 'Depth Charge' animation scene.
It needs some more species and some plant life, I think. I might revisit it later.

Thanks for looking! :)

Cool!  ;D

The underwater scene really was a good experiment!

Absolutely wow! Great panorama all over! The only thing I am missing is some underwater plants, but would be just a small improvement! Really great!
Mouthwash? We don't need no stinking mouthwash!! [MI2]

This is a fine example that you never know what is under your boat. :)

Very good work on the water caustics.

Nice Martin. It's kind of exciting to look around... and then suddenly there's a shark lurking in the murk. If you revisit this; there's some strange gray areas on the rocks, and I would give them more displacement, a lot... like 'growth'.

Pentagular Dark

This is a great render but, those ground textures... they're so, blurry.
GAH!!! Don't look down here! Look at the posts man!

Marvelous creativity Martin; feels like I'm swimming around there.

TheBadger

It has been eaten.

love the boat :-)
did you try this: http://www.ryubin.com/panolab/panoflash/
and/or my TG2-batch for the panoramas which uses Nona(part of Hugin) to stitch the views seamlessly

Changed a few things. Fixed the stones, moved and slightly raised the camera to get a better look into the trench and to see some nice surface lighting beneath the sun on the seabed. Put some plants in and removed the floating detritus.

Cheers! :)

This is so nice! A beautiful piece of creativity Martin. When I first saw the fish over the trench, because of it's attitude, my mind said: 'what is a bird doing here?' (it reminded me of a bird clinging on the trunk of an invisible tree). So much for mind tricks. In all, this is one of your best works.

V2 is really nice.Good improvements,definitely worth a look.

dandelO

Thank you, folks! :)

I enabled soft shadows and updated this a few minutes ago, too.
The fish shadows were very hard considering how far away some of them were from their shadows.

I love the light-playing across the terrain beneath the Sun, when turning from the dark side towards the light it looks really good when the bright areas come into view, I think it does, at least.

The 'caustics' hitting the ground are from the actual rays this time, not from my old method of making procedural caustics as a surface layer, these ones actually cast from the light rays perfectly.

Cheers!

Done.

This is beautiful looking! So many things look around and the boat is great, gives real feeling of depth. This is very close to view of diving in that kind of environment.

dandelO

Thanks, Mor. You can see the shark's-eye view here, by the way... http://vimeo.com/23990861
