disabled the space ship seen in the first set of iterations, the first looked to human made imo.
modeling a the new space ship now.
clouds have been changed as well.
(tweaked) cloud nodes by Freelancah

the only post work that was done was adding a lensflare in lightwave 3D & some HDR toning in Photoshop CS5

Wicked clouds, very surreal, yet realistic somehow as it is very nicely lit and rendered.
I agree on cropping a tad bit of the bottom.

yeah this cloud setup is awesome, there are a total 5 cloud layers, but only 4 enabled, many possibilities with all these nodes
i want to work improving the moons texture, do that sometime later.
though i am working on the model more atm

the camera has a motion curve, so the image has a bit of a motion blur, kinda forgot about that before i started the render.

i used Lightwave's volumetric lighting effect to get the solar flare/nebulous like effect for the sun

turned off one of the fill lights, added rich2 ridged moon clip file.
ill have a render ready later

i had originally planned on going with the resolution i used before (3840x2160) in dark era 1
but now i think this might aspect work better

there is a 4096x1714 on the way... looks pretty awesome.
it would have been here earlier if i had'nt paused the render to check something, and left it paused for like over 8 hrs (again)

I have done it too. It can really ruin your day. Now that I think of it, I would probably have much more done with TG2 if I did not make so many silly mistakes. Such is life.
