Made this with some tricks I learned from Making of Golden Forest tutorial.

TheBadger

I think this looks very nice. Good job
It has been eaten.

Really Nice!  Maybe play around with the "do soft shadows" settings (under sunlight)??

I haven't used that before, what does it do and is it a render-hog?

Dune

It takes a good deal longer, but it improves realism. Especially the shadows on the trunks would be visibly softer. Maybe it's not even necessary, you could try a crop...

Very nice, Ares! I think the patterns in the mist are a bit too hard, I'd like to see the mist a bit softer but otherwise, lovely shot! :)

inkydigit

I echo the above....great start!

Jonathan

Lovely render, but do agree with teh mist being a bit knotty....maybe stretch the X or Z axis a bit to make it more wafty!
Every problem is an opportunity, but there are so many opportunities it is a problem!

I got around to doing another iteration of this one.  I added Soft Shadows and did an X, Y and Z stretch of 2 to the clouds, I think it's an improvement.

Dune

It is, definitely. Very nice.

masonspappy

Very pleasing to the eye. Can we go there yet?  ;D

Tangled-Universe

Very nice improvements...adding soft shadows made this image work, good mist too!

Cheers,
Martin
