Hero Rock populated

For those of you who have FrankB's fake stone pack, can his 'Hero Rock' object be populated? I've tried this but it don't work.

For those of you who have FrankB's fake stone pack, can his 'Hero Rock' object be populated? I've tried this but it don't work.

I have tried the fake stone pack

No, it can't be populated, because the populator is unable to populate sphere objects. As you know, the hero rock is based on a sphere.
However, with some tweaking you can make the built-in rock object look good, and this one can be populated.

The hero rock is best when you need one or two on close-up.

Thanks Frank, appreciate your getting back. I will experiment with your suggestion. I really like the Hero Rock as I have used it a lot with different color/texture Image maps with great results.
