Something different for me, trying to get out of the same old color schemes I use. Comments please..........

The ground is excellent! And the fence is great. The ivy could use a redo imo though, it got a little overly built up in the top center I think. The bird is also a little hard to see, perhaps a color change? Overall this image has a great look and feel.

I love the owl's body posture. :)

It just doesn't sit there as a misplaced prop but has some form of life and a target to the right.

I have seen ivy grow like this. The only crit I have is that the image seems flat. A strong shadow behind the fence might help create more depth. The owl is great!

But then probably the owl texture gonna be visible as fake..  :'(

If one would really go for biological reality, I would guess a lot of vegetation in many Terragen pictures is wrong and Xfrog plants are just simply too healthy.

Isn't it just a matter who you are selling it too?

99% of the planets population will accept a tree or a grass as that without giving a flying cahoots what it is.

Given that the texture on the Ivy is relatively hard to see, you can as well sell it as an yet undiscovered small leafed Vitis (Wild wine) spec.

I don't know how many geologists would get a heart attack when they would see some rock formations on here.  :D

One girl I studied with specialised in lichen and wouldn't probably accept certain imitations of it.

Made some adjustments as requested.........

Are you able to animate the bird somehow, yossam? It would be sweet to be standing on the ground 20 or so yards from the fence, and have the bird jump down and fly right at the viewers head! lol

I still think your terrain looks great, but I was wrong about the color change for the bird. Sorry for the bad advise :-\ You were right the first image.

*Although, he is very easy to spot now!*

I did a search on ivy's on the net. Despite that there are ones with small leaves i think i would make them bigger; 2 or 3 times...
Maybe not all but most. They look more like paint strokes now to me.

Edit : Nbk2  really nice photos :)

The shadow has helped.
