C&C please

Looks great! One crit I have is that judging by the shadows, a little more over exposure would be a great improvement.

I think you can put that in the "photoreal" category

Tangled-Universe

Damn, that looks real!
Is everything at its original (world) scale and which grass species did you use?
There are quite some small white flowers, but I can't tell where their stems and leaves are?

I like the soil, if I'm correct it is Ryan Archers soil from NWDA, isn't it?
Maybe you can replace the voronoi with a billowy powerfractal, or just regular perlin.

Great work man :)

Thank you all for the comments.

T-U,
Very good eyes, that is Ryan Archer's soil with some adjustments. The grass populations are from Silva3d. Walli is great as usual. It is the mowed grass variety in 4 seperate populations. They are re-sized to 2 min to 5 max. The reason you can't see the stems and leaves is because there aren't any. Those are actually dandelion seeds. I put a compute terrain after the last shader and simply raised the population to the correct height. Again, thanks for the positive comments. Will revisit this at a later date with your suggestions.

Photo! :o I believe this is the realist grass I have seen here, maybe anyplace.

If you keep your settings as they are, and render a view of the whole area, from at or near the same vheight, would the new render look as real as the OP?

I would like to know all settings for this?
It has been eaten.

Badger,

Basically this is the whole area. The populations of dandelions are in an area 75x75 and the grass is 100x100.
Settings:
Detail .7
AA 14
Sampling 1/4
GI 2/2/6
Sun 3
GI light 1/1/1/1
AO light 1/1/0/1

That's about it.........and a lot of patience waiting on it to render. ::)
