nice location for that tree.
I think the color of the water is just great, and the water looks good over all. The terrain is very nicely done, but could stand the addition of smaller fake stones to mix in with the bigger. And the entire terrain could stand a lot of extra color variation. But its nice!

yeah, im not entirely satisfied with the foreground. I tried to illustrate sand and it turned out good when i did a small crop test render, but then i must have done some change to the colors before doing the final render because it doesnt look the same now. I will try do another render tomorrow.
rendering this took 15hours...

I like the depth in this image.
Good terrain and a really fat pine tree. But as Badger said, a bit more colour variation in the terrain, and I would loose the biggest fake stones. But that's only my opinion.
Anyway, a great beginning.
