Hello,
I am working in germany at the Beuth University for Applied Sciences in Berlin. We offer an course in 3D landscape modeling, working with Terragen 2, in disciplines such as cartography or geographical information. So far I have always carried this teaching. Due to new regulations, this is no longer possible, since I'm an employee here as well. Therefore, we are looking for someone else to go on with this course coming winter semester - but of course somewhere around Berlin...
Our focus is working with GIS (ESRI, Quantum ...) or data from such. So the processing of real terrain models, the incorporation of spatial data from Shapefiles - setting vegetation and whatever objects that comes to mind, eg via image maps. Of course it is not about implementing my curriculum. Who has other ideas, bring it on. It is only important that people learn how to get GIS data implemented in 3D landscapes - 3D city models is an entirely different track, therefor we have other people.
Here are two examples, created with Terragen 2, ngPlant, SketchUp, Blender and a few Xfrog models:

Or might recall an artist in the Berlin environment or a company where I could ask an employee to help us? The connection with GIS is probably the biggest problem.
Regards,
