A question
August 06, 2013, 10:45:36 PM
Is it possible to "shrink" a heightfield (generate) and have it look like a regular terrain? I haven't been having a lot of luck so far. I need a terrain thats about 300x300 instead of 10000x10000.

Hi yossam,
I'm not sure what you mean by having it look like a regular terrain. In any case, you can change the size of the generated heightfield using the Heightfield generate node itself. Change the Size in metres parameter.

When I do that, it looks like a square tower. Do I need to change the other parameters for the heightfield also?

You could change the size of the features and work on highest and lowest points. See attached file.
