Archonforest inspired me to do a sunrise scene.

It's sort of an 'after the storm' shot, the wreck survivors in the lifeboat appear to be saved for the island is near as it emerges from the dark of the night... But is anyone still alive?

4 hours with TG3, .8 detail/AA 6, DA (defer atmo/cloud) is on

Really gorgeous color! A very simple, almost abstract scene, but pretty effective. The right-most mountain on the island looks a bit angular, but otherwise I like it as a whole.

Thanks all! You can do realistic renders of the sun after all, just don't try to put that sun behind the terrain as the render takes forever with 'receive shadows from surfaces' ticked...
