Aluvium, First go

Hi all. This is a 1st attempt. Still needs a lot of work, I know. Any suggestions greatly received. I've had to do a bit of levels ballancing in post with Corel PhotoPaint to knock down the Haze Density as you can't turn it off  :( The only reason I had to do this is that the scene is huge, about 15 km across, and I've had to scale everything up to fit. I've dialed the haze right back but there is still far too much. The .ter for this is caled Aluvium and I can't remember who made it. I like it lots. The grass is from neuspadrin and the bushes are from Lightening. This was done with V3 free.
I love the smell of caffine in the morning

Why can't you re-scale the terrain down to a more reasonable size so your haze works properly. I think it's the "Heightfield re-size" node...

I had of course already thought of that.....

Nice work going on here. Looking forward to your updates on this.

BTW, this original file dates back to 2005 when Buzzzzz and I did some work together to create the 'Aluvium' terrain in Terragen Classic.

Nice renders there. It's a great terrain to work with, lots of good view points and some great nooks and cranies  :) Many thanks to you and Buzzzzz for sharing this. I think I may find it easier to work with for what I was trying to achieve if I take Richards advice (which I'd already thought of, obviously  :) ) Having to use fake stones shaders with the stone size of 35 is a bit off putting  ;D

You're welcome. Just a thought; try dandelO's 10m cracks clip file. I just tried them on a project and they look great on the vertical, steep slopes.

Resizing is probably your best bet, but rather than haze being the issue here, it looks like Bluesky Density...
