I like this. If you lower your POV considerably it will have even more drama, looking up to this looming thing. Like you're in the next boat.

I just think that the textures on the big ship especially are too low res.

Gargantuan! Maybe a tad brighter; and, maybe eliminate the aerial object.

If it was me, I would move the hovercraft further away from the ship and place the camera directly behind it.  If the hovercraft is a fairly low-res model, I'd substitute focal blur instead of hiding it in the distance as it currently is.
