Here's a photo-copy image I made recently.
You can view the original photograph by wilsonaxpe, which is commended in The Times Landscape Photo Of The Year 2013, here: http://flickr.com/photos/wilsonaxpe/8247689835

Terragen, Carrara, Treed, PS.

Cheers for looking! :)

Nice job!  I didn't look at the reference image at first and my first impression was that your render looked like real moonlight.  Then I looked at the reference image and saw that you nailed it from that.

I mention this because a lot of moonlight settings I see here on the forum tend to be very underllit and  the color temperatures are usually wrong.  This one is perfect in that sense.

Good job, Martin! Very impressive likeness. In particular (but not only) the fact that the stars don't shine through the clouds... or is that a little PS?

Very accomplished work. I've often wanted to see some photo reproductions (and maybe some set extensions? )

I am telling you, I know the coldness of this image. my breath is frozen as it leaves my mouth. You could die in this light if not dressed properly. I WANT TO GO BACK TO THE DESERT!
Its going to be here soon, and there is no escape for me. Thanks for depressing me DandelO.

You nailed the feel of it. Only the far background is not matching up with the fore quite perfectly (for me). But its nearly perfect I think, at least on this first look. And there could be some more bump/displacement

actually, Im quite paranoid now that everyone  here is going to try and foogsnagle me. The feeling of that cold is quite real.

It has been eaten.

The original looks as cgi as your reproduction, which is not much, but a little in my Eyes.
