Hello guys,

i´m sorry for that question but i have to ask this.
Terragen starts again making trouble in loading behavior.
When i remove the software and all its files and clean also the Registry and reinstall it, Terragen puts automatic my Registry-Data in Terragen 3. So where i´ve to look for to delete all related Terragen files?
The Library has also the items from the previous version in it with many questionmarks. My Question is:
How do i install a clean fresh Version with no inputs to the Library and manually install my license key, so Terragen dont install the license automatical?

Thank you in advance

If Terragen is not being removed correctly when you uninstall, there may be permissions problems. If you want to keep *nothing* from your previous installs, then uninstall all instances of Terragen in your program manager (e.g. "Programs and Features" in Windows Vista or later), then go to your User folder and find the AppData subfolder, e.g. C:\Users\Oshyan\AppData\. Inside that you should have Local and Roaming; I believe the folder Terragen files end up in depends on how you installed Terragen (for all users or just 1), on my machine it's in \Roaming\. You should find a "Planetside Software" folder inside one of those folders. Delete that. You may also find a uk.co.planetside folder, delete that as well. Finally, look in C:\Program Files\ and delete the Planetside Software folder.

I had some problems with 1-2 programs
and installed them (after uninstalling them fully ) outside the standard "Program files" folder
in another folder i made myself.
You could use something like this  c:\3dprograms\Terragen3\ for example.
If you want to use the folders in there for saving files it gets easier because of no restriction popups.

There could be hardware (dying HD) and virüs ,firewall (blocking files or slowing ) etc. related problems you may have.
If you have another HD install Terragen there. Close the virüs,firewall programs (even uninstall) and see if there is any difference.
Your problems are strange and i am not sure if this any help because it looks only Terragen related.
Try to use the new installed Terragen without the library for example. Maybe there is something related to that...

Note that Terragen does store things in the AppData folder, so simply installing to another folder outside Program Files will not fully address any potential leftover files issues.

Yea i saw that too. No way to change this probably Oshyan?

Oshyan

No, it's the way the operating system (Windows) wants us to do things.

Thanks Oshyan.
I don't like that way programs clutter everything around because of Windows restrictions.
It does have its use probably but i would like to see a program and all its parts in one place.

Thanks a lot Oshyan that has helped me :)
But i´m still keep finding a solution for that loading time issue. This happens only one time per session. When i open up the Library or loading a file directly without the Library. After that all went well, till i restart Terragen.... A new installation hasn´t helped me out of this mess. Hmmmmm....
The hardest way is to setup a new Win 7 installation....but all programs do their job all is fine except Terragen.
Thanks a lot for your great job in this forum thats verry terrific!
Thanks again! :)
