Just downloaded and installed. Downloaded the extra packs too.

First impressions:

There are a lot of presets in the preset pack! Don't know what they are or how I'll use them, but they sure got pretty names ;D Im guessing they will be a good bit of fun!

The plants pack has some pretty dang good looking stuff in it too. I only looked at 5 or so but from what I saw they look like the real deal, no cheap freebies here. I saw at least a few I know for sure are Walli's work. And I saw one that I have never seen before at all, one of the trees. Are these all walli? Going to be using these bushes I saw for sure, can't ever have enough bush... Take that as you will.

The videos are just a nice thing! Having them in the downloads is just plain smart. That should kill a lot of the old arguments right off the bat. And the production value is high quality; HD calm steady voice and so on.
One thing I like about GeekAtPlay to contrast with Digital tutors, or Andrew Cramer, is that I so far have always finished a Geek tut getting from it everything I sat down to get. I cant tell you how many times I left DT without knowing what I set out to get. And Andrew Is just too fast, they are more like demos then tuts these days; still love him though.
Thanks again Geek, hope the effort goes the way you want.

So three extra downloads, right? Did I miss anything?

I opened T3 just to see. I was surprised to find the terrain already had some displacements. Also, when taking the camera out to orbit, space is blue now not black.

I looked at the Library tab too. I think it will take me a entire day to get myself organized, so that I can put that to its best use. Will I have to render example images for any file or does it see what a plant or terrain looks like on its own somehow? Either way I think I like it.

It has been eaten.

Glad to hear the feedback.

Yes, just the 3 additional downloads (besides the main application) at present.

The new default scene was intended to give people something more interesting to start with and something to learn from. The flat planet seemed a bit too intimidating to many.

Once you load an object for the first time it should auto-generate a preview image. Xfrog objects will usually have their existing preview images detected upon being added to the Library, no need to load the object into a scene. Most other library items will not auto-generate previews, but you can create your own and assign manually with the image icon/button to the right of the preview image in the Library.
