Thanks Oshyan and Michael!

Render time was 2.45 hours (100 frames, I7 2600K ) .
I wanted to see how it would look too.
Michael gave me the reason to do it :)

Yes, your not the only pesron who enjoys proving me wrong, Kadri.   :P ;D
It has been eaten.

This Terragen piece of software looks like it is very small and easy ,
but by the time i learn new things i mostly forget other things too all the time.
Like the thread about the rings Michael ;)

Oshyan

So about 1.5 minutes per frame? That's not bad at all. For higher quality figure 15-30 min/frame at 1080p I suppose.

Probably Oshyan.
Because it was fast enough i did not bother to see how i could optimize it.
So it could be faster too.

@Kadri:

Wow, you just got it right :) I tried your attached .TGD files and get lots of warnings.
Unfortunatly, I can not find out, which of the files it the right on to archive the look of the last image
(I marked it with a red cross)  :-[

Thanks :)

It is the  " Untitled_09_cok_renkli_kenar_farkli_sert.tgd " file .

Render times are much longer with that file.
So you have to try to optimize it more maybe.

There shouldn't any error messages actually.
I did not use any other object or image map (so far i know).
Do you use an older version of Terragen?
Mine is 3.0.07.0.
(I know this is not the last build but i think the new build is very near so i still did not update it to the last build.)

Onkelpoe

Yes, we are useing 2.4 in the Office - but should geht the 3.x version soon (according to our Boss)
Can you save the tgd in a compatible format?

If not, i will try TG 3 free version, till we finally get it in the office...

Cheers!

Can not say for sure but i think the errors should be harmless mostly ,
because i did not used anything specific for TG3 .
If you try a smaller render (200 x 100 for example ) you will see the same scene probably.
If not i will look at it ones more.

Onkelpoe

I openen the file you said and hit the render-button - but my scene looks different from what is in your image.

Would you mind to share your settings, then I can test and experiment myself?
Like what you did with cloud and lighting settings and so on...

Thx a lot !  :)

Actually the best way is to use the free version of TG3.
In that way you will see all the settings for yourself.

It looks like i have used some settings like "Gully smoothing" in the density fractal for the clouds.

I found an old 2.5 version of Terragen on my PC and i am testing it now.
It is the only setting i changed and the new and old render looks the same with that option turned to " 0 "
I am not sure how to replicate the same cloud on the old TG2.

Onkelpoe

Thank you man, would be awesome if you can test it come up with settings for old terragen.
Meanwhile, I take a look at TG3

I tried some different settings with the 2.5 version.
Try the new file (for TG 2.5) i post here please.
It looks close i think but not the same cloud of course.
I hope you will get the same result on your computer.
