So I thought I had better have a go.

I wanted a more 3d waterfall than Dunes plane and cloud method, so I used a simple shape shader. It was bent at the top with the twist and shear shader and distribution shaders. Two layers of cloud were added, bent with vector displacement shaders, warp and distribution shaders.  A big thanks to Dune for the tips.  A third layer of cloud at the base was added for the foam

I first tried to use transparency in the SSS but the render time( 3 transparent layers 3 lots of clouds) was out of this world! so sadly that had to go. The stretching of the textures on the SSS also made life difficult.  However I'm content with the result of these tests and will keep playing to try and improve them as I go along.

This one actually looks like water - a baby Niagara in fact.  Now let's see if I can include myself in 'everyone' Lol!

Very good....I like the green undertones, looks very realistic.

Rather very effective! I was surprised to see this. I did not think this technique worked very well until now. Still its not perfect, but getting closer for sure.

I would like to see a render from further away. Does it become more believable with a bit more distance? ?

Personally, I would just be happy with terragen waterfalls if they worked really good from afar. Being up close like this and having it look completely real would be ideal. But for me I would be happy with just being able to have it look highly real from a distance.

Anyway, very nice!  :)
It has been eaten.

Very nice.
As said, i'd like to see some different POV (angles and distances). Just to see if it works great from any place.

Good job indeed
