Same thing than the previous render with Mars MOLA data.

Just a quick test with the Moon.

If I have time i'll make a tutorial about workflow (not complicated).

Great craters. But is it TG2 or TG3? If the latter, can one still do it on TG2?

I've never really tried or needed this shader, but it's good to know.

Done with TG3 and the DEM import.

I use some Moon DEM data and color image tu make it.

Just have to set the right projection and size of the texture and it's done !

N-drju

Ahh! I thought it's a heightfield. :D Of course it looks terrific all the same.

edit: ballezballez... a mini tutorial sounds great!\
:)

ballezballez

Thanks !

Your moon render is amazing.

I have some problem to render all the complete moon. I've downloaded many part of moon but I don't know how to make the whole moon. I can only render a part of it because i've only a planar projection of the data. Do you understand what i mean ?

How did you set your data to make a planet (spherical projection or i don't know )?

We have to do TWO differents tutorials about that !

:)

thanks bb
I used the data sets provided kindly by bigben, who stitched them together:

If I can dig out and tidy up the tgd I will upload....
cheers
