Not sure if this is mentioned  in another thread if so forget it  ;)

I wanted the water shader on native standard
and displaceable objects but got the old black surface parts problem.
Matt said on another thread that he would look closer at this.
Long story short , i tried so many settings but got only limited success
with the "Visible to other rays" setting unchecked in the objects node.
But that brings some other problems with it.
But it may be usable in some scenes.

Here are different  pictures i made in my tests.
For a short time i thought that the objects does see the background colour
in some way but it doesn't look so in other images.
It is only a GI thing maybe what i saw.I don't know.
Maybe these images could help you or Matt in some way.

The displacable object on the left does have the "Visible to other rays" unchecked.
The right one is checked.

Not sure , but probably these kind of problems can arise when you use  "Visible to other rays" unchecked.

Here "Visible to other rays" is checked. The plane and cube is partially , the Octahedron fully in the sphere.

In these last two images "Visible to other rays" is unchecked.
