Thought I would use Hannes fine models............... :)

Hannes

Wow Yossam, that looks great! This is a fantastic environment.
You used only two of the tunic textures for all of the knights, right? The blue ones against the white ones. It's great to see the guys in action.

yossam

Yep..........only used blue and white. There are actually two of you in the scene........... ;D

Castle model is not the best in the world...........used what I had.

Hannes

I think the castle model is definitely not bad! The only thing I would critisise is the tiling floor texture, especially on the left side. Something else: you used soft shadows, didn't you? In my opinion it's a bit too soft. But otherwise the lighting is very natural. Well done!

Hannes

Had a closer look at your picture. The floor isn't tiling at all, is he? I don't know, what I have seen there. :-[

yossam

I see you changed your avatar........cool. Definitely you.

The floor is tiled a little bit. I used an image map for the fake stones and tried to break it up with a distribution shader. You can still see parts of the tiling. I used soft shadows and think I made it too soft...........back to the drawing board.  :o

yossam

A few minor fixes............ :)

Kadri

Looks nice Yossam.

Not sure but the shadows on the castle in some places do look like you used a too high setting for smoothing?

Dune

That was my first impresssion. Haul it through Poseray and see if you can change the smoothing; it's worth it! Very cool scene.

yossam

Turned smoothing off b4 exporting from Poser.............any better?

Kadri

Actually i don't see much difference Yossam.
Interesting! Hard to say without seeing the real model.
Maybe it is related to texturing and-or shaders, clouds etc.?

Walli

Hannes

Me neither. Maybe there is something about the normals?!
