Cryengine: Crytek releases CryEngine software via Steam

I will not be paying  $9.00 a month to play with this, but it has always presented some interesting landscapes.

If the program would be like the Unreal Engine in the fact we can keep the base program if we do not keep paying the company every month, I'd be interested. Please, help me never rent software.
