Yes!
That village is called Wesbury-sub-Mendip. We used to live in an even smaller village called Easton, just out of shot to the left.  Beautiful though it was, its a dormitory.  The village shop was closed, gone for good, no pub (there were two) and even the church was run by a part time priest. No one works there and the entire population are either nearly dead or spend all their time commuting.

That is really very very nice! Interesting TG challenge also...

At least we know where cyphyr gets inspiration for his skies.  ;D

Gorgeous, indeed! See those grasses in the bottom left on that first photo? That's what I'd love to have as a model! Very hard to do I am sure. There is a ton of irregularity, you'd need a bunch of different models populated.

Im with Otakar!

Also Just love that stone in image 1. That is part of my TG dream. Not so far from possible as I first thought too!

@ cyphyr
It sounds strange to me that there are towns that are fading away in the UK. I would have guessed that there are more people then places to live do to the finite amount of space for people to occupy. Plus the beauty of the country side... Just thought places like that would be among the most desirable and expensive parcels one could own.

What you wrote is an eye opener. Is population on a steady decline in the UK?
It has been eaten.

In the Netherlands the countryside, the more open areas, are depopulating also; there's no work, and nobody wants to sit in a car in traffic jams every day, but live nice. Unless you can work remotely.
