Greetings:


This is my first picture uploaded to these forums.  It reminds me of Northern Nevada.  Any comments, corrections or criticisms are most welcome.  How would you make this picture more REAL looking?  Thank you - Jerry

Welcome to this forum, hope to see more of your work. It's a very good start, but why is it so unsharp? What filter did you use? A sharper, bigger image and perhaps some more light in the shadows will greatly enhance this. I don't know about Nevada, but maybe a little more haze so you get more distance feel.

Thank you Dune for your reply. I understand the maximum size to post a picture on the Forums is 5000k so I used Corel Photo-paint to re-size the picture (saved as BMP).  As this is my first attempt, and since I am used to thinking more in terms of feet and inches, I am not surprised my picture turned out to be too un-sharp. Also, I will attempt tweaking the lighting and the haze as you suggest.  Thank you again for your response.

Great image!:D 5000KB yes, your image is only close to 500KB in jpg so you should be able to have it 10 times bigger and still post it if you want.

I like the composition and the scale. I like that the cliff is not giant in this one. Looks like a nice place to hike around in an afternoon.

If you render something say screensize, you can almost save it in max jpg and it stays under 5K. Your font use is based on feet as well I suppose

I reworked the Atmosphere and Lighting, and I like this one more.  Thank you again for your replies.


Dune ... as far as measuring the font in feet ... it appears you may be correct
