Hey,

Was hoping you may have a link to a volcano eruption as it begins. I fond lots of video of volcanos. But as you may expect the video always starts after the eruption. I am trying to find video of what happens as an eruption starts.

It makes sense that the video is alway a few bits late. But I was hoping someone may have a link to a few lucky shots?

Thanks if you do.

I remember posting somewhere about the shockwave at the beginning of an eruption in Iceland I think, if I can locate it I will post a link.

Hey these are great guys! thanks a lot.

I did not see any of the clips before.

on the last video, this seems to make clear to me that there are different kinds of volcanos and different kinds of eruptions.
With the last clip, there is the initial blast, followed by the pyroclastic flow. No lava?
And in other videos I have seen, no pyroclastic flow, just bang and lava.

So what is the name for an eruptions/volcano that produces all of the above at the same time? Or is it a kind of one or the other thing?

Of course like everyone else I made one of those stupid chemical reaction volcanos in the 5th grade. Dont remember anything from it though

Yeah, the one in New Guinea is the one that came to mind first for me. Amazing.
