That's really cool. The light is great, the lighted trees, and at first glance you wouldn't say it's a render. One of the things giving it away is the silhouetted tree, that is not too good. Maybe also some more soft undulations on the snowpack?

Merry Christmas! And dreamy render you got going on there. I just like the portrait trees in the light in the background, looks so cool. Also like what's going on with the snow, if not a bit too rigid, but that is a really nice look and works well for what it needs to look like (road trim snow)

Just got back in town...........I really like this.

Are you using light sources' (sic) for the individual lights? If so, how was the render time? The last time I got light happy, it took forever.

Yossam, yep those are individual lights. tried cheating by pasting in lights from another source but then lost all the colored reflections and interactions between lights and nearby objects. Unfortunately, render times are extreme. My PC has 4 real cores and 4 virtual cores, with 8GB RAM, and it was still taking 14 hours to render the image .

Your trees with the snow look very good and much better than just making the end branches white...looks like real snow clumps...Where did you get those

Thanks Paul. They are xFrog trees but heavily processed in Blender. There's a method I devised for accumulating snow on leafless (deciduous) trees, but it doesn't work on conifer/evergreen tree models. I've been trying for several weeks to perfect a near-realism look for the conifers, but I'm not happy with the results. In this case, if you compare the size of the snow clumps with the size of the nearby barn, you'll realize that each clump must weigh close to 1000 lbs (!). So I'm taking a break from this particular image for awhile and let my subconscious think about it. Also attaching the original image to show what I started out with in order to get the 'pretty lights' picture.
