I like this, and especially its potential.

First critique - the tree needs to be placed to the side so the lightning isn't directly underneath, since the lighting seems wrong on the tree somehow. 

Second critique (perhaps could relate to the first) - the lightning needs to be both a little more jagged (and coming in a little more to the side of the tree, maybe) and have some blurry glow to it in places.

Is that an .obj model of lighting? If so can it be turned over so the forks are pointing down? Other than being upsidedown the lighting looks great.
