No delay in the "Set the current frame" input field?

When i want to change the current frame in the animation timeline i have to wait nearly 15 seconds sometimes.
It looks like Terragen tries to change to every digit i type in.
For example when i am in frame 200 and want to change to 150 after i type 150 it looks like
it changes first to 1 then to 15 and then to 150 in the end.
Probably because there is no delay for the input?
With small projects and images it isn't much a problem. But in my last project there are many huge textures.

This is an issue with pretty much every input box unfortunately: the scene/view/etc is updated after inputting each digit. It causes notable problems only when that particular input box requires significant calculation and thus results delays between entering digits. But it's something we should definitely fix across the board.

Having said that I do wonder why you are getting such long delays to update the scene/view in your case. Does it take that long to simply go to the next/previous frame with the next/previous buttons?

Would be nice Oshyan.

"next/previous frame" and "first /last" buttons are like only putting 1 digit and that takes only 5 seconds or so.
It depends to which frame i want to go basically. I have big image sequences and that doesn't help too probably.

Your image sequence is probably one of the *main* things slowing it does since as far as I know TG doesn't cache the loaded sequence and thus it will load the image corresponding to that frame every time you change frames.

As a bypass you could type the number elsewhere, then copy and paste it in. I do that sometimes in objects, when I know the name for the displacement is called 'name-BUMP.tif', I just type  '_BUMP' and paste it after the color texture name. Typing per letter won't work either (can't find file).

I tried that Ulco but after a while it gets boring for such a basic operation and i just type and wait :)
