I recommend to do the first steps with some tutorials. If you want to spend some money, there is a pretty good course on udemy which covers all the basic stuff (and more): https://www.udemy.com/blendertutorial/ Quite expensive, so you might want to wait for a Sale on that one.

Very good tutorials for free can be found on www.blenderguru.com.
