Hey,

I know that TG converts quads to tris. I was wondering if when a model has both quads and tris components, if there can be any issue that results?

Haven't run into any problem. I am just asking if mixing is an ok modeling strategy, especially where TG is concerned, but also in general if anyone has an opinion. I am not talking about a quad model having a few triangles, but were some parts are entirely quad and some are entirely tris on the same object.

don't know why it would be an issue, Just want to be sure is all.

Thanks.

There isn't any problem with mixing tris and quads, as far as Terragen is concerned.

Just because milk is white doesn't mean that clouds are made of milk.

Thanks, Matt, its just good to know for certain.

I just found this tonight: http://blog.digitaltutors.com/modeling-with-quads-or-triangles/ was helpful to me. Maybe also for others.

Thanks Michael. I knew, but now I know better.

Yes. A lot of things are just obvious. But Because I only have the net and you guys, I second guess my self on everything when I run into any issue. I like to get any bit of absolutes as possible from any qualified person, so at least then I can cut out those things when trouble shooting.
