25-30 years ago our Professor talked-asked how a blind person would see the world if he had his eye sight restored.
It just came to my mind today and i made a little search.
Might be others, better ones, but i found this one quite interesting too.

There are some nice comments too there.

If you know other links please post them guys.

Yes. If you fallow some links it is interesting that one such guy could not watch-understand movies he saw.
It was still kind of an audio experience to him.
Especially because of the excessive fast move cut of movies it was disturbing to him.
From sports for example he could make more sense from individual sport shows then team sport shows.

I going to have to take some time to ponder over that article but it should be interesting.

Finally got to this article, Kadri, thanks. Its very interesting and gives lots to think on.

I remember a topic from an anthropology class, that I often think about when I am looking at art on line. We were told in that class, that the idea of looking at a photo is very alien to many people in the world even now. That you cannot have never seen a photo or image before and then when seeing one, expect to understand what you are seeing. That class was the first time I thought about the fact that I had to learn to see art, I mean literally learn to see it at all, not understand content.

your link just added so much more to that for me. Not even counting the moral philosophical implications, considering that the one man died of depression, basically.

It makes sense though? Imagine going from a technologically primitive society to a technologically advanced society over night. Or from extreme poverty to extreme wealth as with many lottery winners - I have read that there are similar results for many lottery winner as with the people mentioned in your link.
It has been eaten.

Things like that are always fascinating to me.
I have a naive expectation to find such things in Science fiction books too.
It happens rarely of course :)
