What they said...

Dune

You could try a PF masked fractal warp for some 'erosion' (or real erosion of course), but keep the smallest scale of the PF a bit in the meter size. And add some more veggies to the bare grass, especially on the opposite shores and hills.
What is the black thing on the rock? I do like the front rounded terrain, almost looks like smooth rock, so you could also make that pure rock, add some real voronoi (and warped) cracks (blue node setup), and have some bushes and grass grow in those cracks. Bare smooth rock with lichen on it, I can see it.

That will be a very beautiful and peaceful place, Bobby! Good Start!

I could imagine the hills on the right side with either more erosion/displacement and some veggies or smoothed hill with a small village.

Very nice shore in the foreground!

...the last image is a nice example. I like the dock and the house.

Moss I think, Dune,  Just a tad too big but it's good to see you able to experiment and explore TG.  This is an excellent start just needs refinement.

Well I was tweaking this whilst awaiting responses and this came in at 8+ hours. Detail .8 AA 8. I added the wetness at the water line and tweaked the grasses. It came in a 8+ hours. Got one cooking right now that is quite different in that I lost my view, dunno what I did but can't find the old view with the new tweaks....Lots of changes in this and mostly displacements and y'all will notice from the attached screen grab that I won't be posting it any time today as it's not even 1/2 done at 9+ hours. And this is with lower Detail and the same AA. I really need a new computer way more than TG4 I think...

The black spot seems to be a case of missing texture or a missing ear altogether
on the head model or something like that,I'd say. ;)

Keep on rocking Bobby.

Doin' my level best Jochen....Deep shadow as I hadn't enabled Soft Shadows I think...should be better in the mega long render I got happening now...maybe tomorrow I'll be able yo post it as it hadn't got to the water yet on the scr grb I posted.

Just flipped over to my render in progress and may have to stop it as I noticed some unruly displacement on the top left hill which initially I thought was trees coming in, but the area is fully rendered and there's still ugly blackness....sigh...I'll let it run till suppertime but have a feeling more unruly displacements are on their way...may have to rethink this render...I'm too old and impatient to wait 24 hours for a still image because as I've said before, it harkens back to Amiga rendering....

Y' know viewing the first WIP and my comments I'm reminded why everything is so rounded. I was, in Imagine days, working on a Fantasy project with a trueSpace pal (which outputs a nice .obj) and it was a very old smoothed out land with gentle hills that I was unable to do in Imagine with their applique/displacement routine. First look at this 1st WIP and that project jumped to mind and was forgotten trying to implement suggestions...I think I may leave off on this version and try to tweak the original file with textural bumping but not displacement for character. I may have to use image maps but that 'ice was broken' with the cliff face I added far side of the water; which I will keep as a .tgc file.
Currnt time on that render is 12:20 and not quite half way down...don't think I'm up for a 24 hour mistake at this point.

Dune

Some missing textures in the black things, I'd say. And if testing I would turn off the lake, and btw, make the water less rough anyway. I did like the changed grass in front!

can't see how as with my colour blindness I have been relying on the presets as my base textures and just tweak them. There was some displacement from a lower layer that wasn't masked and was leaking through. If you read my post #10 you'll know that I am going back with this to my original inspiration but incorporating all or at least many of the suggestions. I have a slightly different view now rendering(keep losing camera position and I haven't been touching it, dunno why) but I like it and it's all soft like the story it reminds me of and hope to get back to if my pal Basil still has trueSpace....
