I grew up about 50 miles from here..........................when it's not waterlogged this is what it looks like. As soon as I was able to drive this was my second home...........wore out many pairs of hiking boots on these hills. Miss it much..........................

Beautiful area. Hiked a little in the Smokey Mountains myself. Amazing how you can go through many climate zones in one hike, from near sub-tropical forest feeling to alpine.

Beautiful palette, I envy you Americans for such nice fall colors (though I gather it's a bit overdone in this photo). Must be great to hike there.
